Pennies
For Parrots
Our
“Pennies for Parrots” is an Assistance Avian Health Program designed to
help
defray some of the costs of veterinary care in an emergency situation
for
parrot owners across the USA.
Our
goal is to reach $25,000 in order to launch this program.
How do
we make this vision a reality and keep up the continual assistance for
parrots
in need across our country?
Our
planned activity:
To
allocate a small portion of the funds received
to this program.
To
reach our goal of $25.000 to launch
this program.
To
launch this program and make it public
to parrot owners.
To
assist the parrots most in need of
emergency care and collaborate with the veterinarians
who
are treating the parrot.
To
make available to the public reports of
the donated funds along with reports of the
emergency
veterinary expenses paid.
To
invite others to join us in this
project and to donate repetitively to eliminate the neglect and
suffering
of parrots all across our
country.
It will
be due to your generosity and gift giving to our refuge that this
program will become
a reality and we will be able to provide emergency veterinary care for
parrots
all across our country.
Compassion For Seniors
(Our
Donation Service)
Many
seniors live alone and in housing that restrict them from pets such as
a dog or cat, some are not financially stable to undertake the burden
of a pet. They are left discouraged due to their age and
circumstances.
If
you are one of these seniors or know of one who would enjoy the company
of a small bird than this program has served it's purpose.
Our
worry free senior program extends a donated service and provides
qualified seniors who reside in Sussex County with a companion bird. We
take full responsability so the senior may have confidence and joy
knowing her companion bird will be provided for. We visit frequently
and provide Avian Vet care when needed along with food and other
necessities for the bird.
Senior's
responsability will be limited to daily feeding, provide clean water
daily clean the cage and enjoy the company.
Help a senior
in your community who would enjoy the company of a small bird and refer
them to us.
Worrid
seniors and their family shall not be concerned as to where the bird
ends up when it's no longer able to be cared for. We will gladly take
the bird back.
Contact us

to see seniors smile!
Best Friend
to Disabled Teens & Adults
Many disabled
teenagers as well as adults are
lonely and depressed due to their physical condition. Socializing with
friends
sometimes can be very limited if at all. A constant
companion such as a small bird is a life to care
for which bring disabled individuals; Purpose, Inspiration, Hope
and Joy.
We are
delighted to help our disabled community live a more fulfilled and
happier life.
If you are or
know any disabled individual who may benefit from our program please
contact us.
We Did It
For UMWAR Youth Group
The
youth of today will become the owners of parrots tomorrow. Our youth
program educates young people all about pattots and philanthrophy.
Their goal is to work collectivly for the cause of our organization by
selecting activity and projects to make a positive change in a parrot's
life.
We are proud of our youth group for they are enthusiastic, energetic
and selflessness. A
true committed hard working team.
"We
DID IT FOR UMWAR" youth group will be enrolled in the Humaine Society
of the United States Award Program to encourage other youth groups to
embrace working for the good of animals all across our County.
Please visit their web page WDIFUYG
as they are updating it and proudly showing their hard work.
Please suport our youth group by writing them a note and making a
donation on their behalf.
Safe
Boarding
We
have a reputable boarding facility. It is a safe and
sanitary place for your companion bird. The birds get check by
Veterinarians on
regular basis. So we will require a clean health record from you for
your bird.
Usually a pet stores and/or private sitting services will not make this
request. They usually just care about that dollar you will spend. We on
the
other hand require a Veterinary Clean Health Record from you. We are
concerned
for the health of our birds as well as yours. You wouldn’t want your
bird to
come here and go home sick just because we cared about a
buck!
Our
refuge will safeguard your bird while you are away.
Here we are different because we actually care. We treat and care for
your bird
as we would our child. Our place is filled with love, attention,
freedom and
our time is strictly dedicated just for your pet. Your bird’s comfort
and your
peace of mind are equally important to us when you need to be separated
temporarily and unlike other boarding places that close shop to go home
at
night. We never leave your pet to tend to self because birds in our
care are
just like children; never left unattended and un-cared for.
Your
bird is not left in a
bird room with essential need met but we specialize in attending to
each of the
birds' habits and lifestyles.
We dedicate one on one time with your bird every day.
We offer and have the ability to interacting in game playing.
We do our best not to disturb your bird usual routine while you are
away.
We are present in the event your bird may have night fright or
separation
anxiety.
We minimize the possibility of plucking behaviors; Habits that may take
a
lifetime to correct.
We allow indoor time out of cage and with your permission safe
transport to our
outside aviary.
We make the time you are away enjoyable for your pet.
We accommodate special needs or diets.
We email you on regular basis.
We take pictures for your portfolio.
We provide virtual visits via our webcam. We never over book.
Many
bird owners have never had their Parrot checked by
a Veterinary. We encourage you to do so before boarding your bird.
We
look forward to serving you and your bird.
Grooming
Wing
Clipping is always an option for bird owners as it is their preferance.
Grooming nails ia a must for all bird owners. Did you know that not
trimming your bird's nails can cause exessive
overgrowth
on feet as wel as nails getting cought on toys and other items as well
as their own eye lids when scratching?
Your
bird needs to be groomed too and we like to extend this service to your
bird. Shedule an appointment Today!
